One Saturday night in 1969 there was a knock of our door. It as Paul Hooper from Indian Summer. They were playing down at Finham Road Youth Club on one of their earliest gigs, and Paul had put his drum stick through his snare drum skin. There was no spare. Someone said that I was a drummer and may have a snare drum and as I lived in Styvechale, he came round to borrow it. So I popped back with him and saw an amazing gig, one of the many gigs that I went to see them play, along with Wandering John. The Coventry music scene then was brilliant and continues to be so. Although I left Coventry in the distant past I have very fond memories of the 60's and 70's music scene.

Hi Bill, Wandering John will be doing a 40 years reunion gig in Coventry in April with guests - Bob Jackson, Neol Davies, Tim James although the drummer will be a mate of Ade Taylor. Possibly Martin Barter will be there - he's apparently playing with John Alderson and also with Shkayla.
