Rod Felton - Rod Felton is a classic Coventry legend - folk blues based singer songwriter - who looked like Roy Harper and sounded like Janis Joplin in the 60's / 70's and still going strong.
Dando Shaft - Dando Shaft were kind of Coventry's Pentangle with their own brand of innovative jazz/rock tinged folk. Martin Jenkins later went on to play with Bert Jansch and members of Fairport Convention. This site contains tracks off their first and RCA Neon albums for the 1970 / 71 and links to more. Mojo Morgan's Hoochie Coochie Band The latest band site of Mojo (Tony) Morgan who played with a range of Cov bands in the 70's and 80's including the Mick Green Blues band / Eli and the 80's ska band EMF (the Coventry EMF that is) and the Travelling Riverside Blues Band as bass player. These days Mojo writes and sings his own blues songs with a group of top class blues musicians. Her them get their Mojos working.
Edgar Broughton Band - This Warwick band of the 70's are total legend with their iconic Out demons Out and Beefheart's Drop Out Boogie, defying Civic orders on performing live outside by playing in the streets of Warwick on the back of travelling truck! Check them out and their albums.
The Armpit Jug Band - Another long standing classic line up from the early 70's Cov folk scene.
Neil Alley - This Coventry electric singer songwriter emerged at the time of Two Tone - hear his work on My Space.
Stett Audio - emerged in the late senventies in Cov with thier experimental, electronica and acoustic music.
Don Fardon - Was in one of the first Coventry bands to make the charts in Britain in 1965 - The Sorrows along with Roger Lomus et al. Their single Take a Heart got in the lower regions of the charts and they became big in Italy. Don also had a No 1 in the 70's with Indian Reservation.
The IS - The is are from Cornwall but formed by Coventry's Al Docker in the 90's. Al was one of the more energetic musicians and organisers on the early Coventry music scene - in bands like Tsar, Love Zeus, Runestaff and more and organiser of band nights at Coventry's Arts Umbrella. Originally a drummer he played keyboards with the IS. A great band - take a listen. There's a tribute to Al on the Hobo site.
Ask My Cat - If you like Ska - you'll like this recent Teesside band obviously influenced by Coventry Two Tone sound but with something of their own too.
The Enemy - The newest and toppermost Coventry punk based group - newly signed to Stiff Records and tipped for the top. Hear their video on John Docker's Coventry Vox blog.
Pauline Black - What can you say about Two Tone's Pauline Black that isn't already known. Her My Space contains some classic Selecter tracks and there's info on all her other and more recent artsitic endeavours. Starting out as a solo artist at Coventry's Old Dyers Arms Folk Club she rose to be a top Ska singer before enjoying a career in TV etc.
Wurzell Bush Folk Club - Dave Sampson is one of Coventry's top folk characters, humourists and folk club organisers. His emulation of Devonshire folk singer with a guitar and kazoo fixed inside a toilet pan is unforgettable! (See the folk section of the Hobo site for a pic - also on Dave's site). The Wurzell Bush was going in the 70's and is still going strong now in Brinklow.

The Funny Farm Comedy Club - No because here's another one of them!! Actually it's called Brinklow Funny Farm.
My Little Boozer - Dave Sampson also runs a pub in Brinklow. Amazing what a toilet pan can do for your career!! But there are certainly some good folk things going on in Brinklow these days -check them out.
The Golden Cross - A long standing Coventry venue where the Hobo Workshop organised gigs in the mid 70's. Now a top venue for bands and acoustic nights - check out the latest.
