As first tribute to Dando Shaft member Ted Kay, who recently passed away, here is a later song (1989) by Dando live
in Italy, sung by Dave Cooper. This also appears on the Dando Shaft My Space. It is hope to bring a specific tribute - celebration of his life to this blog soon. For those not from Cov, Dando Shaft were Coventry's most innovative and successful folk outfit probably on a par with Pentangle - in fact Martin Jenkins of Dando went on to play with Bert Jansch in Whippersnapper. The recorded both for Youngblood and RCA Neon in the early 70's

excellent, time does not fade good music nor good musicians. the passing also creates time to listen and feel again.
Souls of musicians will meet again I'm certain and what a gig that will be!

Excellent live track Trev. Fine musicians.Condolences to his wife and as Dave says, this music will live on. Did Ted live in the Stoke area of Coventry do you know? I may have met him one time.

I don't know where Ted lived to be honest Jim - I know Dando shared a house in Barras Lane c69 but he was a heck of Tabla player and percussionist.
